The Benedict Pilgrim's Trail from Admont to Linz invites you to enjoy a time of enjoyment and a change of perspective through one of Europe's spiritual cultural landscapes. It starts in Admont, where the Benedictine Abbey of Admont provides the perfect introduction. Milestones on the Benedict Pilgrimage Trail are the Cistercian Abbey of Schlierbach and the Augustinian Canons' Abbey of St Florian.

Day 1 - Individual arrival in Admont
Individual arrival for your pilgrimage holiday in Admont and check-in at hotel. A short walk to Admont Benedictine Abbey is the perfect way to start your hiking holiday in Austria. As well as the magnificent neo-Gothic abbey church, it is the world's largest abbey library that casts a spell over visitors. The first stage of the Benedict Pilgrim's Trail leads to the Bosruck Pass. At 1.308 meters, the “Rohrauerhütte“ marks the highest point on a hiking vacation in Upper Austria. The descent to Spital am Pyhrn takes you through the impressive Dr. Vogel Gesang Gorge. Hike along meadow and forest paths to Windischgarsten. Via Rossleithen you reach Vorderstoder and finally Hinterstoder. The Steyr River takes you downstream on the Benedictine Pilgrim's Path via the “Stromboding” Waterfall to St. Pankraz. Walk at a leisurely pace along the Klauser Lake to Klaus. The train takes you to Schlierbach. Tip: Visit the “Zisterzienser” monastery and taste the monastery cheese. This section of the Benedict Trail in Upper Austria takes you via Adlwang to Bad Hall. In Adlwang you will find several spiritual power spots such as St Nicholas' Chapel, the Engelroder Fountain and the pilgrimage church. Hike through the rolling foothills of the Alps to Wolfern, where you can take the bus to St. Florian. Tip: Visit the beautiful baroque basilica of the Augustinian Monastery of St Florian, where Anton Bruckner is laid to rest. Walk along the former Florian railway line to Linz-Ebelsberg. On the last day of your hiking holiday in Austria, we recommend a visit to the pilgrimage church at Pöstlingberg. You can do this on foot along the Way of the Cross, or you can reward yourself with a ride on the nostalgic Pöstlingberg railway. Return to Admont from your pilgrimage by train and bus.
Parking facilities in Admont:
During your hiking tour you can park your car free of charge in Admont near the arrival hotel.
Note for people with limited mobility
The hiking holiday is not suitable for people with limited mobility. However, in specific cases it is possible to accommodate individual customer requests (e.g. barrier-free room).
Passport and visa requirements
To check in to your hotel you will need a valid passport or ID card.
For citizens of countries outside the Schengen area other regulations may apply. You are responsible for obtaining any visa you may require in good time.
Terms and Conditions of Payment:
The deposit of 10% of the tour price is due at the latest 14 days after receipt of the booking confirmation. The balance must be paid 14 days before arrival.
Cancellation Policy:
According to our General Terms and Conditions, the customer may withdraw from the contract at any time in writing. In the event of cancellation or non-commencement of travel, the following cancellation fees will become payable:
20% of the tour price up to the 28th day before departure
30% of the tour price from 27th to 14th day before departure
50% of the tour price from the 13th to the 8th day before departure
70% of the tour price from 7th to 4th day before departure
90% of the tour price from the 3rd day before departure until the day of arrival
If the customer makes changes of the date of travel up to 28 days before departure, we will charge a processing fee of € 50,00 per booking. After this date, the cancellation policy will apply. Such changes to a booking may only be made in individual cases and if possible; the customer has no right to any changes.

As per law in the event of insolvency of OÖ Touristik GmbH the company refunds payments already made and additionally takes care of return transport, if originally included.
